Summertime Is Just About Over

Summer is about over and time to start thinking about school.

First, let's update on how my summer has gone. Our family vacationed in Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Bermuda and Virgin Islands. We were traveling most of the summer. My mom snapped this picture during the first couple days of the trip, thus no tan yet. And yes, I've put on some weight. I'm almost a year older since the last picture of me that I posted on this blog. I'm up to 144 pounds now, almost 20 pounds heavier. But I think I'm filling out nicely. But anyway, summer was a blast. Hot girls everywhere. Boy, some real skimpy bikinis too. Oh yeah, I had a little fun, if you know what I mean (wink wink). Now I just gotta get on Facebook or Twitter so I can keep in touch with the girls I met.

The girl that I got pretty serious with was while we were in Bermuda. She was vacationing from upstate New York. Her name is Tamara. She is part caucasian and part african-american. She looks H-O-T though, and looks more white than black. We exchange phone numbers and addresses, as well as our email addresses. We talk on the cell every night since we left, and we talk at least 2 hours every night. She's in love with me, and I'm in love with her. But neither of our parents are really approving of our relationship. My parents say there is no sense in trying to have a long distance relationship at our age, that it won't possibly work. But we are trying anyway. Her parents don't like me at all. The mother thinks I'm arrogant and too smart mouthed. (I am, hehe).

Bermuda, most of the guys wore speedos. So I bought a pair of black speedos. My mom kept trying to get a picture of me in them, but I kept covering up, so she didn't snap the picture. I think the speedo is what got Tamara attracted to me. She even told me that I was "perfectly endowed" and "the sexiest and cutest boy she's ever met". And I gotta admit, I'm pretty hot looking in speedos. It was kewl of my parents though to let me run around in speedos while in Bermuda. They felt that since it seemed to be the norm there, it was okay. And trust me, most of the boys my age on the beach were in speedos. Though I was the whitest skinned boy there. LOL.

I wish vacation didn't end, but as they say, all good things must come to an end. So now it's time to prepare for school.

I'll be a sophomore this year. So classes will be a little tougher. I'm not worried, I'm pretty smart too. School comes easy for me. In the fall I'll have to start weight training and working out for wrestling. I am going to run cross country this year to get back in shape. I'm a little bit out of shape from being so lazy all summer. I didn't keep up with my training, thus, my wrestling coach is really gonna get on my case when I return to school.

Elections were just held for the Saints of America (teen support group that I'm a member of). I ran for the Communications Director job, but didn't get the job. If I had been around all summer I might have had a shot, but since a lot of people hadn't met me yet, and didn't know much about me, they voted for someone else. That's okay. I still have two more years to become and officer. The new President and Vice President will do a great job. Real down to earth and lots of common sense. I'm confident that they will do a great job. Most of the new officers deserved getting elected. I think only 1 or 2 incumbants were re-elected. But that is okay, the organization usually likes new faces each year in office, and present new ideas to make the organization better.

I'm sorry to hear about my best friend's mother passing away. His father died about 5 years ago from a heart attack and now his mother has passed from a car accident. So the family is fighting over custody of him. But the fight didn't last too long and he'll be living with his grandfather. I think it's great his grandfather (who lives in Nova Scotia) will live here in Ohio during the school year, and then in the summer my friend will live in Nova Scotia. I hear it's really nice up there especially in the summer. Very scenic and very friendly people. The town where his grandfather lives is pretty small, about 500 people, and all are like family.

My fantasy baseball team is doing okay. I think I'm in 4th in one league and 8th in another. I've been juggling my lineup due to players going on the DL. Man, I had 4 guys on DL at once, at one point. But I have been surging lately and have a real shot of winning the league where I'm in 4th place at the moment. I'd love to win the league. I've never played fantasy sports before. It would be cool to brag as a newbie that I won a fantasy league.

In the coming week I'll get a Facebook account. Lots of my friends are on there and lots of fun games to play. I can't wait to play Mafia Wars, Mob Wars and other gangster type of games. I guess the Saints of America is going to start a Facebook page too so they can reach out and get new members from across the nation. I know the membership director has been scouring and chatting with other teens on there and we've gotten a lot of pledges from that recruiting effort. We even are starting new chapters in some states where we didn't have a chapter. So recruiting has been going good.

Well I've blabbed long enough on here for now. I hope everyone had a great summer and good luck in the upcoming school year!
