Today, during first period at school, I was called to the principal's office. When I got there, there was the principal, my parents and a federal agent. My first thought was "what the hell did I do?" because I am not a trouble maker.
Well, this blog, my profile picture, is why they were there. Apparently some watch dog group found my blog and saw my picture and decided it was "inappropriate" because it reveals my private parts in my wrestling uniform. WTF! I could NOT believe it.
First, I am a wrestler. Wrestling is my life. A sniglet is a required uniform. I can't help if I'm fairly well endowed and it's revealing in a wrestling sniglet. Second, that photo was taken just after I upset the defending state champion, a proud moment in my life. Third, it's my choice to publish the picture. So what if my package is too revealing in a required uniform for the sport.
This is insane. What if I was a swimmer? Male swimmers their packages are quite defined in speedos, but that is part of the sport. So if I was a star high school swimmer and put a picture of myself on my blog in just a speedo, that is "inappropriate"?
This is crazy. Yeah, if I had published a nude photograph of myself I would understand. But this is not a nude photograph. It's not even really that revealing. But the powers at be in the censorship world feel it is an inappropriate picture for a teenager in today's sick world of online perverts.
Hey, let's ask this question. How many perverts go to youth wrestling matches just to stare at our crotches? I'm sure there are a few at every meet. Is anything being done about that? No. So quit bothering me about my picture on my blog and do something that really matters.
